Doug
Pearson, Director of Engineering Services
Doug Pearson is a
convert to Catholicism who attributes the lion’s share of
his conversion to Catholic Radio. Doug was a Radio
Technician in the United States Marine Corps for ten years.
Upon his honorable separation from active duty he worked for
a telecommunications company until 2000 when he came into
the Church and began working in Catholic Radio. Doug cut his
teeth in Catholic Radio by helping Immaculate Heart Radio
take over AM radio stations and get Catholic Radio on the
air in cities throughout Central California. IHR
began buying and building FM stations and Doug became
involved in building a network of stations and translators
to cover the greater population and geography of New Mexico.
Doug then moved his
wife and seven children to Texas to work with the Guadalupe
Radio Network as their Director of Radio Operations. GRN had
just brought Catholic Radio to the Big D... Doing things
bigger in Texas GRN had to have two stations in Dallas; 1
for English and 1 for Spanish. Doug assisted the GRN in
setting up their network uplink, building studios and
revamping the fail-safe systems. He is looking forward to
continuing to help GRN GROW!
Doug is now the
Director of Engineering Services with the CRA. He focuses on
assisting new entrants into Catholic Radio to build their
recently awarded NCE stations. Doug also assists new
entrants into Catholic radio who have recently purchased a
station.
